Just a quick one today, but as I was perusing the BBC iPlayer I came across this short film which shows two train journeys from London to Brighton, one from 1953 and one from 1983, side by side.
Well that's it, told you it was a quick one!

and an interesting extra.... did you know that my brother-in-law holds the current record for the fastest journey time from London to Brighton, breaking the previous record by around 3 minutes. (It was an official event - he was even on the news! - he wasn't just over-dosed on caffeine!)
