Brighton Food & Drink

It can sometimes be difficult to drag yourself back to work after having a week off, however I was fortunate enough to have 2 launch parties to attend this week which definitely helped to ease me back into work mode!

The first launch event was yesterday afternoon to celebrate the start of the Brighton Spring Harvest which will be running until the 21st March. This mini Food & Drink Festival (the big festival is in September) has a variety of events including the Sussex Beer Festival. At the launch we were lucky enough to get to sample a couple of the ales and I think my favourite was the Snake Slayer Stout! Also happening this weekend is the Big Sussex Market and Nick & Franco's Deli Pasta Eating competition but check the website as there are events happening every day this week.

Today's event was also linked to the Brighton Spring Harvest as it was the launch of the Chocolate Festival which will be happening in the city next weekend (20/21st March). The festival will take place along New Road between 10-6pm next Saturday and Sunday, and if it's anything like today's launch party there will be plenty of delicious chocolate to sample. Events will include a guide on how to become a chocolate connoisseur in three easy steps; a demonstration of 2 recipes for chocolate mousse without using any dairy as well as chocolate facial and body treatments!

So why not get stuck in to some delicious Brighton Food & Drink, hmmm :)

Hi

I just wanted to let you know about a pop up dinner party that wil be taking place for two nights only on the 23rd and 24th April. The idea is that around 20 people turn up at a secret location and be fed three yummy courses. More information can be found on www.seadsidesuppersession.blogspot.com and all proceeds from the event will be going to charity.
This is a first in Brighton so please spread the word.

See you there
